Start your own affiliate program directory. Join a large number of affiliate programs that go with the theme of your web site and list them all in a directory format on your web site. Then just advertise your free affiliate program directory. You will earn commissions and gain sub-affiliates. Plus you could start an affiliate-related e-zine too.
2. Do not drive all your visitors directly to affiliate website, instead send your visitors to your opt-in page mechanism first before going to your main affiliate website. That way, you can make follow-up later on and build your own list so that you can offer another related products or services another day.
3. Sell to the people who join your affiliate program. They are more likely to buy your products because they are interested in selling them for the commission. It's important to train and support your affiliates so they will know you will be there to help them. Tell them it's good to write ads about their personal experiences with your product so that it will persuade customers to buy.
4. Participate on web discussion boards. Post your comments, answer other people's questions, and ask your own questions. Include your affiliate text link under each message you post. If they read your message and like it, they may click to see what else you have to offer them.
5. Recruit lots of sub-affiliates and make it easy for your them to make sales. Give them proven ads to use, make it easy for prospects to order, provide helpful affiliate statistics, notification of sales, lifetime income, residual income, add their commission by giving part of your commission to them, provide a good tracking system and professional training.
6. Persuade e-zine publishers or webmasters to run your ad for free. Just allow them to join your affiliate program and earn commission on the sales. You could also offer them a freebie, such as the product you're selling for free, an advertisement in your e-zine in return, etc. It also helps to compliment the publishers as well as praising their e-zines.
7. Use referral strategies to get lots of order yourself or sub-affiliates order. Referral system can also be a good way to increase your affiliate commissions if you can give incentives to motivate people to refer and tap deep into people's network of friends, family, and associates. They don't just stop at the occasional, one-off referral.
8. Write your own affiliate program ads. If all the other affiliates use the same ads you do, that does not give you an edge over your competition. Use a different ad to give yourself an advantage over all the other affiliates.
9. Give free e-mail consultations or services to your customers who buy or will buy the product or services through your affiliate link. When you e-mail them back your advice include a small ad or distribute branded affiliates viral marketing tools to use like e-books or articles for the affiliate products your are selling. Just include your ad somewhere inside them.
10. E-mail targeted e-zines and ask them to do a joint venture with you. Ask them to run your ad and in exchange they would get a percentage of the profits. You would just have to get them to join your affiliate program to be your sub-affiliates. To give them better incentive, you could offer them a higher commission than the rest of your normal affiliates by giving part of your affiliate commissions for 2 years.
11. Tell your customers if they refer four customers to your affiliate web site, they will receive a full rebate of their purchase price, cut from your own commission. This will turn one sale into three sales. You could also offer them other things in return for referrals like free e-books, free software, coupons, discounts, etc.

13 Killer Ways To Increase Your Affiliate Commissions

1. Start a private web site. Use it as a free bonus if people buy the product you resell. You could also allow people to join for free and you could advertise the affiliate program you've joined.
2. Participate in chat rooms related to the product you're reselling. Start a conversation with a person without trying to sell to them. Later on, while you are chatting, mention the product you're reselling.
3. Do not drive all your visitors directly to affiliate website, instead send your visitors to your opt-in page mechanism first before going to your main affiliate website. Only use one if you've actually bought the product or service for the affiliate program. Tell people what kind of benefits and results you've received using the product.
7. Advertise the product you're reselling in your signature file. Use an attention getting headline and a good reason for them to visit your affiliate site. Make sure your sig file doesn't go over 5 lines.
9. You could also trade links on your own with other related web sites.
10. Participate on web discussion boards. Post your comments, answer other people's questions, and ask your own questions. Include your affiliate text link under each message you post.
11. Create a free ezine. Use your ezine to advertise the affiliate programs you've joined. Submit your ezine to online ezine directories and promote it on your web site.
12. Use referral strategies to get lots of order yourself or sub-affiliates order. Referral system can also be a good way to increase your affiliate commissions if you can give incentives to motivate people to refer and tap deep into people's network of friends, family, and associates. They don't just stop at the occasional, one-off referral.
13. Create a free e-book with the advertisement and link of your affiliate web site. The subject of the free e-book should draw your target audience to down- load it. Also submit it to some e-book directories. The more exposure your free e-book gets, the more your ad will be seen.

10 Hot Ways To Sell Your Products Like Crazy

1. Enhance the power of your ad copy benefits by using attention getting words, highlighting keywords, using color, bolding key phrases, underlining, etc.
4. Give your visitors tons of choices so they don't get the feeling of being controlled. Offer them a variety of ways to order, contact you, navigate, etc.
5. Put yourself in your visitors shoes. Design your site for them, not for yourself. Create your product around your visitors not because you would buy it.
6. Get free advice from successful online business owners. Participate in business chat rooms and message boards to chat with them.
7. Use your free bonuses to create an urgency for your visitors to buy. Only offer them for a limited time with your main product.
8. Offer your customers extra add-on products at the point of purchase. For example, if they are buying an electronic toy try to sell batteries with it.
9. Make your visitors feel good about themselves by giving them compliments. If they feel good they will also feel good about buying from your web site.
10. You just sign up to be an affiliate, and refer new customers to the sales site(s) with a special, coded affiliate link. When your referrals click the link and make a purchase, you get paid a sales commission on the sale. Many of these commissions are now paid instantly, at the time of the purchase, as in the system below.
But few new affiliate marketing sites are as successful as the new system reviewed here. It is a free-to-copy, self-duplicating affiliate referral system that pays growing, residual sales commissions, and actually MULTIPLIES an affiliate's income, from a low, ONE-TIME purchase of less than $30.
From fewer than its first 100 visitors, it produced $755 in INSTANT affiliate marketing sales commissions from a total startup cost of $30. So it produced 25 times as much as it cost, from fewer than 100 visitors. This is a phenomenal return for ANY web site.
As you will come to realize, this new, free affiliate page is very different from anything you have ever seen. This new affiliate marketing system is very powerful and unique, and anyone can use it for free. It has several very innovative features:
First, it combines three special, hand-picked affiliate marketing programs, all of a unique type, which pay the highest commissions possible. (One pays 100%, $100 sales commissions.)
Second, you sign up sequentially, making it pay for itself from that first $30 purchase.
Third, It produces continuing, RESIDUAL income, from just that ONE-TIME $30 purchase.
Fourth, the residual income from the system GROWS exponentially, due to those special affiliate programs. The residual income MULTIPLIES automatically, in the same way that a viral affiliate marketing plan multiplies a merchant's customer base.
Fifth, you can 'set it and forget it'. After you make a sufficient number of new referral customers, it takes on a life of its own, and the income keeps growing, whether you do anything more, or not. You do NOT have to keep referring more and more new customers, to keep generating more and more income. (But your affiliate page can continue to refer more and more new customers as more people find it - each referral customer can start another multiplying pile of those instant sales commissions for you.)
No other affiliate marketing referral system has ever before combined all of these features into such a simple, copy-and-paste free system. It is very simple to use, although the affiliate plans may appear difficult to understand at first.
The secret of its success lies hidden in the special, unique affiliate payment plans. All three programs are lifetime membership affiliate marketing sites, offering 'tons' of marketing expertise and tools for affiliate marketing and traffic generation, for a low, one-time cost.
They use payment processors like Paypal and Stormpay, so a referring affiliate's sales commissions are actually deposited INSTANTLY, directly into the referring affiliate's account, even before the site owner gets his payment for the lifetime membership.
The continual growth of an affiliate's income is assured when his referral customers begin generating affiliate income for themselves. The pay plans are very unique: Every new affiliate gives up his first two sales commissions; they are automatically passed up to a sponsor above. This causes your commissions to multiply, automatically.
They are not MLM plans, they are one-tier affiliate marketing plans with a special, multi-tiered pay provision. This pass-up provision causes the pay to YOU as the referring affiliate to DOUBLE with each successive tier that spreads below you, starting from EACH new customer you find for them, after you pass up those first two sales.
You purchase from the next plan in sequence as soon as you receive $20 instant sales commissions from the first $30 plan. Each successive affiliate plan pays a higher sales commission than the plan before it. Adding up the commissions passed up, you wind up being paid $300 for each successful new affiliate you refer to this affiliate system. Yet you started it with only a $30 outlay, for membership in the first affiliate marketing site.
And those $300 sets of affiliate commissions then start DOUBLING from each tier, automatically, from each new successful referral affiliate you sponsor. From the next tier, you get $600, then $1200, then $2400, etc. That's how it was possible for less than 100 visitors to this system page to pay over $750 in affiliate sales commissions. And that's just the BEGINNING of the income from it.
Most of my referrals have not even finished signing up for all three of the plans in sequence yet, so I have much more affiliate income to look forward to in the near future, with no more effort on my part.
Like me, my referrals start their own doubling sales commissions with their third referral sale, after passing up the first two. And the passing up of the doubling commissions goes on for as long as the viral marketing of the plan goes on below you. It's the most lucrative affiliate plan ever designed.
Making the simple, affiliate system referral page free to copy-and-paste, makes it easy for anyone to duplicate it and keep it growing virally below you. Copying and pasting it for free makes the system easily self-replicating, ensuring the continued growth of your residual income, from that one-time $30 purchase. The system has instructions for setting up your own copy of the page online for free, too.
As your referrals purchase memberships in the rest of the plans and start using them, it will just continue multiplying your own affiliate income from the system.
I put my system in a free blog page, just to keep costs down as I got it started. And free blogs are as easy to use as email - just copy and paste, click a button, and it's immediately online with its own URL. Then just paste in your own affiliate links as you get them, and make some referrals to your page. There's a list of 14 free blog hosts in the system instructions. If you don't want to use a web site, use a free blog like I did.
The multiplication of your commissions is explained more fully on my free system blog page, at http://www.MoneyGrower.info
Although the affiliate pay plans are not easy to understand the first time through, the system 'works like a charm', as the saying goes. As you can see, this free system is entirely different from any other affiliate marketing plan or system in the world. And it PAYS like nothing else in the world, too.

Attracting Good Affiliates

Good affiliates can be hard to get. There could be any number of reasons for this, but I am going to focus on what I believe is the one major problem that prevents someone from attracting good affiliates. But first lets look at what the make up of a good affiliate may be. A good affiliate is:
Hard Working
Persistent
Motivated to work their business
Does not need constant reassurance
Makes and implements goals
Overcomes obstacles
Recognizes and takes good advice
And Never, Never, Never quits!
The question some may ask is, "Where are these people at?" I'll tell you. Most of these people are already successful with their own affiliate program. And they are successful for the very reasons listed above. Also, they did not fall prey to the very problem that many searching for good affiliates are causing themselves. And that is advertising hype. They overlooked that and went into the marketing program with a desire to succeed, understanding that it is going to require work and time to be successful. Unfortunately though many are for the first time looking for a home business and don't know what internet marketing is all about. They are vunerable to all the hype infested ads out there.
Now. If a person signs up for an affiliate program with none of the traits listed above for a good affiliate can they indeed be a good affiliate? Yes! But it will be an uphill battle helping them to develop some of the above traits. Even though it would be hard it is still worth it to work with them in hopes they will become the perfect affiliate. Who knows. They may become your best affiliate yet! But I want to focus on getting the good affiliates from the start. Why?
My logic is this. I would rather have one good affiliate that is a real go-getter then ten thousand that do nothing or very little at all. That way you have more time to focus on your own business then spending alot of time babysitting someone who will probably eventually give up. The best route to go is to get affiliates who are already conditioned. Well just how do we do that? There is only one way to do that and that is how your opportunity is presented to prospects.
Most all advertising someone does is loaded with hype. Whether it is their search engine description, classified ads, or email. This is what prevents marketers from getting good affiliates. If possible you must remove all the hype from your advertising and sales letter. Now I know that some of us work an affiliate program owned by someone else. And you may be required to use the advertising and sales letter that they give you. But if possible use the ones that have the least amount of hype. What do I mean by hype!
Hype is where you describe something to the greatest, allowable, extreme possibility. Such as but not limited to the following:
Make a MILLION DOLLARS every time you breathe by just posting a website!!!!!
Earn $15,000 a day by reading emails!!!
Buy my ebook, "125,000 Ways To Get Rich Marketing Salt!"
Now I know these are exaggerations but the point is that while on paper you may be able to prove your claims, most do see these types of ads as exaggerations of the truth. Besides that these ads will not get you those good affiliates your are seeking. What these type of ads will get you are:
Curiosity seekers
Gullible People
Get Rich Quick Hopefuls
If you portray your business as a get rich quick scheme, then that is what you will get. People looking to get rich quick. Not exactly my idea of a good affiliate. Why? Because each person who fits into any of the above groups has their own reason for signing up none of which is to run a business. Most individuals like this sign up and do little if anything. When they realize that they're not going to get a free lunch most will opt out in a day or two. Those who remain will just ignore your emails. By the way. How would you like to go to a job interview and be told you will make $20.00 an hour. You work for 2 weeks only to find out that you have to work for the company 10 years before receiving that amount per hour. You would probably walk out the door feeling you were decieved. That is exactly what happens to people who answer ads loaded with hype. They feel as though they were decieved.
Not only that but it can be costly to run an ad campagin that uses hype. Think of Pay Per Click campagins. Your are spending money on the clicks of those who are not interested in running a business. I would rather get one hit to my website a day from someone who will do what it takes to succeed then a million hits from people who want to get rich by the end of the day.
Rather have an ad campagin that focuses on what the average person can expect. Most people are in this category. An average person. So target your advertising as if everyone who reads it already understands the ins and outs of internet marketing. Portray your opportunity as one that will take years to reach it's full potential. Be honest and up front. Then you will get people signing up who are ready to build a business up over time. Remember. Get Rid Of The Hype. If the average person won't make $15,000 dollars a month then don't say they will. If the average person will probably make $1,000 a month then say that. What's wrong with making a $1,000 more a month then they had before. If you have been able to quit your job because of your affiliate program, prove it. If you can't offer up some type of proof, (copies of checks, real testimonials, etc...) then just keep it to yourself.
The point being made is this. Most people are already aware of the saying, "If it sounds to good to be true, then it probably is." There are exceptions to this rule but for the most part it is a true statement. Now if you follow the advice given above you will probably see a significant drop in your website traffic. And also a drop in the amount of affiliates you are getting. But like I and so many others say. "It's not the quanity of the affiliates you are getting but the quality of the affiliates you get.
Leave the hype to those who want to brag about the amount of website traffic and affiliate sign ups they are getting. I'll take a big fat check over hype any time.

Your Own Affiliate Program

What better avenue to drive high quality and targeted traffic to your website than through your very own affiliate opportunity!
Plus, you have dozens and dozens of other marketers promoting YOUR wares at no startup cost to you, and on top of your own promotional efforts.
Another positive is that it is a win-win situation. It costs nothing for the affiliate to join, and you pay a commission only when a product or service is sold, and it's only a percentile of the actual sale price.
Be mindful, however, that you will need a clear plan of action and that the program should be unique and fill a niche. It is also time consuming.
You will need affiliate automation software that handles the signups, click throughs, sales and tracking. A quick search will find you several types of software and a wide price range. Find out what's right for your program and wallet, but always kick the tires for features and benefits.
Now, you will need to select the type of tier structure you wish to offer. With a single tier, you set a commission structure to pay your affiliates for any referring sales. With a two-tier program, you will also pay the same affiliate a percentage based on sales generated by those they brought into your program. This type also offers more incentive to your "work force."
When a marketer signs up, you need to make it easy as pie for them to promote your biz opp. This could include banners, product images, text links or other ad copy.
You may announce your affiliate program in a variety of ways: free for alls (FFAs), classifieds, ezines and getting listed in affiliate directories.
A word of caution: remember that it is the quality of your affiliates that will make or break your program. Quantity doesn't play into the picture at all.
Walter Pfarr has over 35 years experience in the print media, as well as knowledge and hands on expertise in grant writing and administration, fundraising, development, all facets of public relations, and has several years experience in Internet marketing, Pfarr and his wife reside in Ardmore, OK.

Promoting Affiliate Programs through Personal Recommendations

Publishing articles online is a highly effective way to increase affiliate revenue. In the current marketing environment, it is increasingly important to differentiate yourself. Consumers have become savvier and are increasingly suspicious of pure shopping websites that send them to another site to complete product purchase. Furthermore, you may capture a consumerв??s purchase once, but they are not likely to return to your site. Instead, they will simply return to the retailer you referred them to complete a purchase.
One, highly effective, way to attract new visitors and motivate them to return to your site later is to publish articles related to the product you are trying to promote. For example, if you are trying to promote a new portable MP3 player, you might publish a product review online and include your affiliate links in the article.
These product reviews add value to your website and can dramatically increase consumer confidence in your site. In addition, if you carefully craft your article, you can include targeted keywords which may help you achieve a higher rank in search engines. If your review is useful, users may even link to it from their personal blog, which may also increase your search engine page rank.
You may be thinking, "I am not a writer, so this strategy will not work for me."
However, if you choose affiliate programs carefully and focus your energy on products that you have a genuine interest in it becomes much easier. There are a couple of easy things you can do to increase your affiliate revenue and make your affiliate marketing strategy easier. Write articles that give more than a recommendation. You should talk directly to the consumer about how this product has impacted your life. Speak directly about your experiences with a product, tell a story about using it, ask questions that make the consumer think about how their life would be improved by owning the product.
By writing a product review, consumers will be less likely to be suspicious when you refer them to another site. In the consumers mind, you are simply reviewing the product, but are not involved in selling it directly. If your audience begins to trust your recommendations, you will find that you can sell products to them over and over again.
Now that you have written a compelling, personal article about your product, you have to make sure that other people find your masterpiece. How do you promote this article?
One method of promoting your articles is to publish your own newsletter. Publish an opt-in newsletter that features a teaser paragraph about your article and a link back to your website for the complete article. Be sure to avoid sending your articles out as spam. Be patient as your subscriber list grows and only send people information they have asked for.
If you do not have a mailing list, you still have options. You can publish your article in article databases so that other newsletter publishers will run your article in their newsletter or on their website. Publish your new product review in an article database with a link to your website in the articles credits. Do a search on Google for в??free contentв?? and then learn how to submit your articles.
Finally, you can post your articles or product reviews on related bulletin boards and forums online. It is free and people will be able to interact with you. Of course, if you try posting an affiliate link, people will notice and you will immediately lose credibility. Simply include a link to your website in your в??signatureв??. If your articles are interesting, people will visit your website where you can use your affiliate links.
In summary, provide your audience interesting, relevant content and they will trust your recommendations. If they trust you, they will buy from you. Promote your affiliate programs with personal recommendations in newsletters on relevant websites and online forums. The visitors will come, but more importantly they will buy.
Stephen Kelly founded {Article Agents}, a free tool you can use to promote your affiliate accounts by publishing product reviews and articles online. Simply submit your article, with your affiliate links intact, and it will be published on our network of sites for free. I send them traffic, and if I make sales for them, I expect to be paid for my efforts in the form of a predefined percentage or lump sum.
As a merchant, I see my affiliates as partners and value the traffic they send me. My utmost priority is to make sure that any sales that are made are credited to the affiliate that sends me the traffic. This is essential if my affiliates are going to trust me and put effort into promoting my products. This is essential if I want my business to grow!
Most of my own products are related to internet marketing and webmaster tools. Because of the nature of these products, those visitors are likely to be knowledgeable of affiliate programs and probably Clickbank as well.
Imagine this scenario:
Joe goes to Google and searches for "webmaster tools". Something caught his attention over in the Pay Per Click ads, an affiliate link to a product that promises to make link exchanges easier.
"Hmmm" thought Joe. "That looks like a great tool".
Joe clicks on the PPC link and is redirected to a sales page. Scrolling to the bottom of the page, Joe sees that the product is $97.
"I want this", thought Joe, "but $97 is a bit steep".
Joe searches the webpage for that magic link, and he finds it easily.
"Great" says Joe out loud. "A link to a Clickbank affiliate program, and this program pays 50%".
After a few minutes, Joe has signed up for the affiliate program, created his own affiliate link, typed it into his browser, and revisits the sales page.
Joe's mouse clicks the buy link. He fills in his credit card details and clicks the purchase button. Closing his browser, he checks his e-mail. He watches as two e-mails are downloaded to his machine. The first is the download information for the new software he purchased, the second one is an e-mail with the Subject "Congratulations Joe, you have made a sale".
Joe checks his stats online for this new affiliate program and sure enough, he has made $48.50 commission on this purchase. In other words, he only paid $48.50 for the product.
OK, what is wrong with this scenario?
Is it fair that Joe used his own affiliate link to make a purchase?
What about the affiliate who advertised this affiliate program at Google? That affiliate paid for the click that started the sale process, yet did not get the commission.
What is going through the minds of merchants who place links to their affiliate programs on their sales page?
I would imagine that some merchants think about these points:
* I want to make $48.50 per sale minimum.
* If I offer it for $97 and give 50% commission to affiliates I will make my goal of $48.50 per sale.
* By adding an affiliate sign up link to the sales page, I can encourage people to sign up for my affiliate program, buy through their own link and get the software for the real price of $48.50, but the customer will be happy thinking they saved $48.50.
*Great plan!
I am sure that a lot of merchants don't see things this way - they just don't think hard enough about their affiliates.
A merchant that uses a link to his/her affiliate program on the sales page is using affiliate traffic as free traffic (whether they intend to or not). After all, the merchant does not need to spend time optimising pages or buying traffic - their affiliates will do that and send the traffic to the sales page for free. If an affiliate sends someone who becomes a customer, the merchant will make their money.
The big problem here is that being an affiliate is hard work. You do have to create content, buy and review products, possibly even pay for advertising. If YOU are doing these things as an affiliate, is your merchant doing their bit to protect your you? Unfortunately the majority of Clickbank merchants don't, and affiliates waste their time building pages and buying advertising to promote merchants who don't d

8 Ways To Increase Your Affiliate Commission

Here are 8 easy ways to boost your affiliate income:
1) Collect your visitor email addresses by providing free reports.
Offer a free report to your visitor. This report should provide helpful and valuable information. This will enable you to collect your visitors email address and follow up with them. Use an autoresponder to automate this work for you.
2) Publish your own newsletter
Publishing your own ezine and building up your subscriber base. Most of the successful Marketing Gurus have a large subscriber base. The reason is simple, "The Gold Is In The List". Successful Marketers like Terry Dean, Jim Daniels etc have been successful in using this technique.
3) Write your own endorsement or review the product you're promoting.
A heartfelt honest testimonial is hands down the best way to get a prospect to buy. Your prospect wants to know how this product has ben helping you. This will help them to make the decision to buy.
4) Use your web site 404 (Error) page.
Even though we try to build a perfect web site, sometimes something may be missing without our being aware of it. That's why the software may still have bugs even after being tested a few times. Check with your web hosting company to see if you can customise the error page. In my case, I use my error page to promote some affiliate product's. I put up the ebook cover and the ad on the error page. Whenever someone is looking for a page that is missing or mistypes the name, this page will help me to promote Marlon's products .
5) Fully utilize your thank you page.
After the visitor opts in to your mailing list, redirect them to a thank you page where you can recommend your affiliate product. Yanik Silver is using this technique; After the visitor submits their email for the report, they will be redirected to the thank you page. In the thank you page, Yanik will recommend a few products to his prospect. However, Marlon and some other Marketers prefer to sell 1 product at one time, which they believe it is more effective and less confusing. You can test these 2 methods by using a simple java script so that the thank you page will be rotated. One is with a single product recommendation and the other page will be for multiple product recommendations. Test it out to see which one gives you a higher conversion rate.
6) Track your ad and advertising.
You have to track your ad copy and advertising campaigns. This will enable you to know the conversion rate and then your ROI (Return On Investment). Some of the tracking tools you can use are Adminder and Clickalyzer
7) Let your affiliate program presell for you
Some of the affiliate programs have prepared valuable reports, newsletters, or courses to help you to presell. Some of them are Ken's Site Sell products, Marlon's Weekly Marketing Tips and Sumatra's Search Engine reports etc.
What you need to do is try to get your visitors to opt in to these mailing lists and let their information do the presell work for you. I was able to secure 2 sales for Marlon's product for this months through this method. What I do is put the opt in form of Marlon's Marketing Tips into the bonus page where my subscribers go to download the bonus ebooks that I have set up for them. In addition, I also put the opt in form into the thank you and error page, right at the bottom of the product recommendation.
8) Give bonuses when someone buys from you
Everyone on the web is selling almost the same products as you. By offering additional bonuses like software, ebooks or information, your prospect may feel that the added value to your product tips the scale in your favor over the same product being offered by the others.
This does make you different from the others and puts you in "A Unique Selling Position".
(c) ToonChooi Tan

Unique Joint Venture Twist: Make Huge Profits Even If You Have No Money, No Products, and No List

Would you like to jumpstart your online or offline business without spending a ton of money?
Without a doubt, joint venture marketing is the most powerful secret to making money online or offline.
In its simplest form, you partner with someone else: You either sell their product to your customer base or they sell your product to theirs.
The true power of this lies in the fact that it's much easier to sell a product to an existing customer, rather than going out and trying to get another customer.
Here's the twist:
What if you could use joint venture marketing without having a product, very little money, and little or no customer list?
Let's see what one of the foremost authorities on joint ventures has to say about this unique use of the joint venture idea ...
Marc Goldman is a world-class authority on joint venture marketing, building a website that ranks in the top 6,000 most-visited websites. That's quite an accomplishment considering the millions of websites in existence.
What's more important though is that he's been using joint venture marketing since his first day in business in 1994.
In a recent interview, he offered this simple formula to quickly profit from joint ventures.
(Note: To access Marc Goldman's complete audio interview for fre^e, see end of article)
You simply perform the role of a Joint Venture broker--you bring together partners who can add value to what the other party offers.
For a great online example of this technique, suppose you find a great product on the Internet that you love ...
You could hook up the owner with other Internet marketers who have an existing customer base, and get a commission from the sales.
If the product has a two-tier affiliate program, you simply sign up as an affiliate. You automatically get commissions from the sales of the marketers you convinced to promote the product (who sign up under you).
If you're hooking the product owner up with marketers who have a huge customer base, try to negotiate a higher commission than the normal second level commission.
If the product owner currently does not have an affiliate program, simply approach the owner--make a proposal to get a specific commission on any sales from the partners you bring to him.
Having purchased Marc's Joint Venture Brokering Mastery Seminar, I can testify to the effectiveness of his techniques.
The broker idea works equally well offline ...
Just one case in point:
I joined up an owner of three dilapidated rental houses who just wanted to get rid of them with someone who wanted to buy some land to build a gun shop. Each party got what they wanted and, at closing, I received a check for $8,835.92 ... definitely a nice commission for only several hours' work and no money down.
With that in mind, go out today, have your best day ever, and keep your eyes out for people who you can help by bringing them together with someone else who can help them.
Of course, make sure you remember to get your slice of the profits ...
Rick Miller is a Certified Master of Web Copywriting and co-founder of List Crusade. Let me explain:
Can you remember the good old days when affiliate programs first came into existence in the mid to late 1990's? Everybody jumped in with two feet and put up dozens of affiliate links on their site with no real thought to what they were doing. We then wondered why we didn't make any money - not any real money that is.
The same thing has happened with the launch of other new industries in that the initial craze and hype got out of hand but when things quietened down people thought things through, put together business models and now succeed big time within that industry. The good news is that we, as affiliate marketers, can learn from these industries through their first and second phases.
A Definition of what a First and Second Wave is
The first wave is the pioneering stage, the launch of a new industry. There is lots of excitement and hype with most people now knowing what they are doing. There are many failures and very little profits during this period.
The second wave is the exciting phase. It has already come to light within phase 1 that there is potential within the industry. People put together long-term business plans and even ordinary people like you and I can succeed in a big way. Hence, wave 2 is when the real wealth is created.
Industry Examples of their First and Second Waves
Let's take a look at some examples of industries in their first and second waves and the success they have achieved for thousands of people who were in the right place at the right time:
Video Cassette Recorders (VCR): Remember the first VCRs? They were huge, very expensive and not many people could afford one. In 1972 Phillips were the first to launch a VCR for home use but it didn't appeal to the consumer market. Only a few hundred were sold.
Second wave: VHS introduced their version of the VCR in 1977 which was more appealing to the public. Prices came down and soon the average household had one. Today, DVD players are now replacing them and huge profits are being sought in this industry.
Personal Computers: In 1976 Apple launched the first PC, quickly followed by IBM with Microsoft's DOS operating system in 1981. These PCs were slow, expensive and always seemed to crash.
Second wave: Dell and Compaq introduced new design PCs, and Bill Gates and his Microsoft Empire launched 'Windows 1.0' in 1985. As a result of this boom thousands of millionaires were created in a single decade.
The 1st and 2nd Wave of Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate Marketing: The first wave of the Internet and the affiliate marketing business lasted between approximately 1996-2003. All the initial hype about the World Wide Web and making money from selling other people's stuff grew within this period. Affiliates give no real thought to their sites and put up dozens of affiliate links. Not many affiliate marketers made any real money to talk of and not many of these sites are in existence today.
Second wave: From 2003 onwards the initial hype has died down and with the introduction of new wave technology and software, means that it is now easier for the average webmaster to build a successful and useful website business to succeed long-term with big profits.
So What Does This Mean For Today's Affiliate Marketer's?
You are now caught up at the beginning of the 2nd wave of affiliate marketing. You are in the right place at the right time - use this to your advantage now... today... Here are some reasons why:-
· The online shopping industry is growing at a phenomenal rate
· More and more people are buying online
· The competition with affiliate sites is still relatively low as compared to what it will be like in the future
In order to get ahead of this ever-increasing competitive industry, you need to think of affiliate marketing as a business. Even go as far as writing a business plan out for your affiliate business. You need to understand that in order to get ahead of your competition and even get to the top of the search engines, you need to build a business platform for long-term success. You must think of yourself as a publisher of informational content first, then an affiliate marketer second. This is the 'key' to the success of the second wave of affiliate marketing. Let me repeat it again 'you must think of yourself as a publisher of informational content first, then an affiliate marketer second'.
Summary
Realize that the Internet is still in its infancy and that you are here in the right place at the right time. This could only happen once in your life, so jump on it straight away. The first frantic phase of affiliate marketing is over and we have entered the new and exciting second phase, which is where the 'real' wealth is created. Remember, Bill Gates and his Microsoft Empire came into existence within the second phase of the personal computer industry - the rest is history!
Claire Bowes is a successful freelance writer and owner of many successful affiliate marketing websites. Never before has been easier to start a business, be able to reach out to literally millions of potential customers and make your business succeed.
Yet time has taught us that there is much more to success that simply having a website or using these tools.
A lot of money can be made from affiliate programs and the cost for getting started is generally free, however in order to promote them effectively you will need to be committed to making it work.
Most affiliate program will give us a unique URL , though these methods work ( especially ezine advertising ) they are limited to how long the ad stays visible. We can not generate long term promotion by just submitting ads using that URL.
Also, we are unable to change the company's website that you promote . In other words , we cannot participate in banner exchange , swap links in some cases we cannot even get in the search engines.
The absolute best way to promote your affiliate program are through:
1. A website of our own. Promoting affiliate programs whether it be mlms or any other affiliate program where you are given a unique URL is limiting without a website of our very own. There are literally thousands of ways to promote if we have our own website. Therefore it is imperative that you decide how serious you are about your business and to what level you wish to take your business.
2. Get a free site and domain name.
Find an inexpensive website that already provides means for HTML coding or we could purchase we own domain name and build it from scratch. Obviously the free site is the less expensive and the domain name is the most expensive.
With our own domain we can totally spread our wings and do this right. The doors that open to us are unlimited and so will the income be.
3. One of the best ways to use the our website in this scenario is to provide a testimonial. The testimonial would be bunches of good stuff we think about company and at the end we would provide a link to company that we promote. So the reader can check it out for themselves.
4. Write your sales letter from an informative approach. In other words, make your sales letter look like it's article full information . The slowly revolve your sales letter to ward your opportunity , then encouraging them to click through.
5. Provide quality content related to your topic to keep the visitor on your site for as long as possible, which builds trust.

Instant Success - Yeh Right.

Join our affiliate-program and make your fortune overnight.
Sound familiar ?
How many times have you received email to say that by joining company X you will have instant success.
And how many websites suggest by using their system you can build an instant list of thousands.
It is possible for the major players on the Internet, but what they don't tell you is that most of the people these "players" signup in a new Internet company are already on their opt-in list.
Here are some well used concepts used in promoting new Internet Companies.
Believe it or not !
1. It will only take you 5 hours each week.
Correct if,
(a) you only want to earn a few $`s
(b) you already have a large optin list to promote to.
(c) you have M-oney to invest in advertising.
(d) you are totally organized, focused and a natural marketer.
What they don`t tell you.
With commitment and the proper training, yes it is possible.
2. Its easy, anyone can make M-oney online.
But only if you have some business background or the Company supplies you with quality training, support and any other tools you need to promote their product. You also need a supportive sponsor and up-line, who are willing to help when needed.
3. Its soooo easy that everyone is do-ing it.
"Slight Exaggeration" here as only about 20% of US families or adults are currently members of Internet companies. There are many other people who are promoting Amway and other Companies but not over the internet. It is estimated that 50% of Americans will have had, or will be operating some sort of business from the comfort of home by the end of next year.
Most experts suggest only about the top 5% of Internet Marketers are making a good income and another 10% are part time earners.
4. By working over the Internet you will be able to work your own hours.
Yes this statement is true, but you still have to "work"
Yes you have more flexibility on when you work, say early in the morning or in the evening if you are part time. You still need to put in the hours, so having a plan and a set of goals is an advantage. If you don`t reach your goals then you will need to re-access them, are they realistic or do you need to increase the hours you work to succeed or take a different approach.
5. Our system guarantees success.
What is success, my idea on success will differ from yours.
Many websites offer a number of tools and provide promotion material but not everyone knows how to best utilize them. This is where training and support is a must. Provide it to your downline and expect it from your up-line.
Ongoing quality training and support are the two most under estimated "tools" or requirements many companies "say" they provide but either not everyone has access or knows how to use them.
6. Its so easy you will make m-oney even while you sleep.
This is a fact, the Internet does not sleep, but you will only make m-oney from sales or signups if you put in the effort.
7. Its cool because I don`t have to talk with people face to face.
Sure you can sit at your computer and promote your website, send out emails to prospects, network on ICQ and Ryze etc...
But you will find the big players are always talking to prospects either on the phone or while at the shops and gas station.
I personally have my ICON Communicator open most of the day while I am online and most days I will have a person (guest) who I have never meet log in, so I have to know the product or services I am promoting to be able to share or answer any questions my may guest has.
The more practice you have at speaking to strangers the more comfortable and at ease you become. And this is coming from someone who doesn`t like public speaking.
Practice makes perfect.
8. F`R`E`E
One of the most powerful 4 letter words ever devised by man.
Can you promote on the internet for f`ree.
The hidden costs. You need a computer, power to run the computer, an Internet connection, office supplies....
Yes it is possible to promote your chosen company or service for minimum cost, but it will usually take longer to get those positive results. Time is m-oney. What is your time worth? Any business requires time and usually some investment to get off the ground.
9. Build yourself a website and watch the sales roll in.
I recommend every Internet Marketer should have their own website for a number of reasons. First is that you are able to create introduction pages to companies, products or services. You are then able to send out email using a URL or website link that won`t be filtered by ISP`s as they are known to filter or delete email that contains affiliated links.
Secondly there are very few search engines that you can list your affiliated website with. So by having your own Domain and website you are able to list it with search engines. But again by being listed does not necessarily guarantee you sales.
10. You "will" receive spillover.
Some companies and individuals promote to prospects that they will receive spillover.
I must be really missing something here as I can count on my fingers the number of people I have received in my downline as spillover in 3 years on the internet.
Yes spillover does happen for some, but don`t count on it.
Some suggestions.
When starting any business you need to have a plan of action and a maximum budget you can spend on products or services to advertise and promote your business.
Register a domain and create a website.
Only consider joining companies where you have full access to support, regular training, provide popular or unique, sort after products that offer a residual income with a positive compensation plan.
A company I can happily recommend to any first time marketers is ItsYourNet. They offer special trainings on building websites, publishing Ezines, using ICQ for networking along with marketing and even supply you f`ree of cost, top quality software to keep your computer safe.
The ItsYourNet "back office area" has an ever increasing list of promotional material and resources.
The product range is also being added to, in the next week we will see the release of the 3D Virtual web system and the 3D virtual mall will soon be opened for business too.
If you want to learn more about the ItsYourNet 0pportunity visit http://main-10534pg.ItsYourNet.com become a f`ree affiliated member and get access to the a truly amazing 0pportunity. One that is suitable for new and experienced online marketers alike.
One of the pluses is the website id ItsYourNet provides you to use in email. Each member receives a sub-domain for each page on your affiliated website. This is of real benefit when sending email to prospects. This allows your email get past most ISP filters.

Generate More Sales in ANY Affiliate Program - Part Four

VISUALIZE, STRATEGIZE, ENERGIZE, REALIZE reprogramming is the subject today.
Every single successful person in the cyber and real world practice these principals, this is what sets them apart from everyone else and this is what will set you apart from every other AFFILIATE.
A wise man once told me that there are three different kinds a people.
? Those who WISH things would happen
? Those who WATCH things happen
? And those who MAKE things happen
The successful Affiliate's are always those who make things happen. And to start this end the Affiliate needs to first VISUALISE. At the risk of making this article sound like a lot of quotes - there is another saying that goes "If you can see it you can achieve it".
The most successful people in this world take time to visualise what the goal looks like. What you would look like in that brand new car, what that new house looks like - right down to the door handles, what those bills look like with a huge red PAID stamp on them.
A great Affiliate will make this vision specific to their FINANCIAL success. Can you visualise yourself making $20, $50 even $100 a day (my recommendation is a minimum of $100 a day). Whatever your FINANCIAL target, you must input it into your thinking and allow it to settle. This process may take a day or more before you begin to believe it.
If you find that you have difficulty in VISUALISING this goal, you need to STOP, go back and visualise a goal you can achieve.
When you lose the VISION, you lose your confidence; you will then find it difficult to follow through on any decisions you will need to make to continually generate income in turn making success much more difficult.
IF you don't believe you can achieve making a $100.00 a day, you really need to wait until you can BELIEVE IT.
In making the commitment to your choosen income level, you are making a decision that will change your life PERMANENTLY so chose wisely.
To Your Affiliate Success!

How to Monetize a Free Website

For some time now I have been aggressively marketing my Geocities website without the prospect of any financial return. The site is content based so I did not expect to generate any product sales and neither was I able to lure potential sponsors.
But that has quietly changed. Google has decided to reward webmasters with quality free websites the chance to rake in some cash for their hard work.
Google's contextual advertising program Adsense has been around since June 2003. Back then the program was open only to webmasters with their own domain names and many quickly took up the opportunity to cash in on their labor of love sites.
When the Big G announced that they were expanding Adsense to accommodate free sites, some people scoffed at the idea because they believe that freebie sites are full of junk.
I first learnt of this move while browsing around a few webmaster forums and to my surprise some persons were against this move by Google. I believe that Google's intention is to bring in as much as possible quality websites under the Adsense umbrella.
My first application for Adsense was rejected and I got an explanation stating that my site was still under construction. I thought that this was a mistake so I reapplied the same day and got accepted. Right away I was able to log in to my account and start putting the code for the ads on my pages.
The control panel is easy to understand and Google provides stats and figures in order for you to track your performance. You can also add Adsense for search where visitors can search the web or your site and you get compensated everytime someone clicks on the ads displayed.
Developing content sites is key to success in Adsense. Why? Because Google's technology uses the content of each page to guess which ads are most suitable. The higher the quality of the content, the higher quality and paying ads you will attract.
Please note that getting accepted into Adsense does not guarantee that you will receive a check from them. Your success depends on many factors.
Some of them include the number of visitors, the placement of the ads, the value of the keywords on the page where the ads are shown and how many persons who will clickthru on the Adsense ad panel.
For those with unscrupulous minds, Google has ways and means to find out where each ad click is originating from. Therefore no click spamming.
Adsense is a win-win situation for all the players involved. It benefits the visitors with additional information, the search engines because of higher quality websites and you with a check every month.
It makes perfect sense to make dollars with Adsense. With this source of revenue, you can upgraded your website and take it to it's full potential.
Copyright © Nicholas Dixon

What Puts The Super In Super Affiliate?

To be super at anything means to excel beyond the scope of average or achieve superiority status.
Super affiliates do just that. They are ordinary people achieving superior status in what they love. They devote their time, talents and resources to making their dreams a reality.
Let's take a look at ten strategies that have helped ordinary affiliates become "super" affiliates.
1. Find Your Passion
Finding a product or service to get started in is often a difficult task. I find it's always best to start with what interests you or what you are most knowledgeable in. For some, what you are most knowledgeable in might not be your passion or vice versa. In this case, my advice is do the thing that most excites you. If you need knowledge, go and find it. Learn as much as you can, become an expert.
2. Look for a niche
Once you've found a product or service that you are interested in see if you can narrow it down to a smaller niche. For example, you may choose to sell dolls. Since dolls come in many varieties and types, you might narrow it down to only porcelain dolls. This will be your opportunity to grab the smaller niche and specialize in the share of the market that the larger companies don't care about.
Finding a niche also helps eliminate competitors and can help build referrals. Competitors often refer clients to those that can best serve the needs of the customer. If their need is your niche, you've got a winner.
3. Create a web site
Affiliate marketers often send their customers directly to affiliate websites. While this type of marketing can work for some it won't help you achieve the "super" affiliate status.
Pre-sale has become the term du jour. It focuses on building trust and credibility when making a sale. There's very little sales effort and trust built when you simply send someone to a site to buy something. If your viewer is not familiar with that site or the products how can they trust it.
Building a website introduces the products and introduces you. It sets the stage and whets the appetites of your visitors. A well designed website will allow your visitors to become comfortable with what you have to say and they will begin to trust your recommendations. A "super" affiliates best friend is gaining trust.
4. Create an opt-in mailing list
This is an important key to obtaining "super" sales status. Your mailing list establishes a following of readers that want to hear what you have to say and offer.
It's important to build on that relationship by sending helpful tips, strategies and information that will help your readers. Don't bombard them with flashy ads and constant sales information. Offer them recommendations on products that you have used. Provide them free tips and strategies. Run contests and provide motivation. Build friendships and trust and you'll soon build sales as well.
5. Know the products your are selling
Don't try to sell things that you are not familiar with. It's difficult to describe to someone how wonderful a product is if you don't know exactly what makes it so wonderful.
When selling a product you should examine it carefully, detail all of its features and benefits. List exactly what you liked about it or don't like about it. How did you benefit from the product and how might it benefit others. Don't be afraid to mention some less positive aspects of a product. As long as it doesn't discredit the product your audience will appreciate your candor.
6. Write product reviews
Product reviews are an excellent way to achieve sales. It sums up the highlights and provides your readers with a personal touch that describes the finer details of a product they may not otherwise be aware of.
A good review will include a product overview, features, benefits, a personal review, accolades and costs. For installation products you should also include product format, installation requirements, and specify if free trials are available.
7. Offer free bonuses
Everyone loves to get something for free. When you walk into a store and they give you a free sample or offer a free t-shirt, doesn't that make you want to shop around and see more?
The same principle works on the internet. It's a good will gesture that entices your viewers to see what other goodies of interest you may have. It's also an excellent way to entice viewers to sign up for your newsletter or online form.
8. Make yourself available
Allow your visitors to contact you either by email or phone. It's also a good idea to include your address on your site. This helps add to your credibility and shows your visitors that you are a real business.
Encourage feedback and invite questions and suggestions. Always respond to your viewers in a timely manner and be courteous and helpful. People appreciate it when you can take the time to respond to them. You may even reap a reward or two in sales.
9. Chose your affiliate programs carefully
Not all affiliate programs are created equal. There are several things to look for such as how often you will get paid? What is the minimum payout? How much commission does it pay? Is there credit for recurring sales? Will you be rewarded for bringing in new affiliates? Are cookies used to track sales? etc. These are just some of the options you need to investigate.
Don't make the mistake of signing up with an affiliate program that does not contain an affiliate agreement. Always look for, read and understand the agreement carefully before signing up. It may protect the affiliate merchant but it also protects you.
10. Maintain patience and persistence
Patience and persistence is my motto. You won't get far in this business without it. Nothing on the internet happens overnight. It takes hard work, good planning and a persistent desire to be successful.
Don't give up when things are moving slow. Stay focused on what you can do, not on what you can't do. Don't be too anxious and above all, stay persistent.
Elizabeth McGee has spent 20 years in the service and support industry. An organic farmer knows that if he develops healthy soil, he will have healthy plants. He also knows that "to every thing there is a time and a season." You can't harvest in the spring, or plant in the winter.
1. Nourishing the soil in preparation for planting your business means identifying your expertise and passion, and researching to find out what's "hot". What is it you want to grow? What seeds do you already have? What affiliate program suits you best? Find the product or products you can endorse, the company with a history that also offers the best commission rate, the experienced team that will support and help you all the way.
Next research your competition. Who are they? Why would a customer rather buy from you? Study their websites and find your niche. What makes your site special? The beauty of the internet is that the "playing field" is level. Big biz competes side by side with small.
2. Promoting your business is like irrigating and cultivating. How and where will you place ads? Keep exact records of where you advertise and what results you achieve. Prune back what doesn't work. Link to like sites with good content.
3. Nourishment is adding articles, maybe a blog, tweak that website! Search engines love changes. Nourish your mind, too. Read the success stories of those who have gone before, join a business organization and connect with mentors, form partnerships. There is nothing to keep you from joining your local Chamber of Commerce. Swap ads with webmasters whose sites complement yours.
4. Before you know it, you may be swamped and need some help. The "organic" way to grow is to ask family members to pitch in. They're already expecting to share the wealth once it's harvest time anyways, they'll probably be willing to help get you there.
5. After you've harvested, at some point you will think about planting new seeds. Once your website is getting lots of hits and your business is blooming, your articles are out there and your name is being recognized, you can capitalize on your success by developing a product of your own. It will seem natural to turn your articles into a book, or develop an internet business course or newsletter.
There's nothing easy or effortless about developing your own business, but also nothing quite as exciting or rewarding.
Time to start nourishing that soil.
Glenn Beach is a poet, writer and home business entrepreneur in Nova Scotia, Canada. Here are three ways of boosting your business income with affiliate programs.

1. Earn Commissions

By joining and promoting suitable affiliate programs, you can expand the number of related products and services that you can offer your customers. The company offering the affiliate program pays you commissions on products and services they sell as a result of your referrals.

Good affiliate programs will offer excellent products, website, credit card processing, commissions, sales aids and support. Your main function will be to direct your existing customers and others to the company`s website.

2. Earn Income from the Efforts of Others

In many affiliate programs, you can earn commissions on the referrals of other people that you sign up as affiliate marketers. So, now you are not only earning income from your own sales but also from the effort of others.

3. Start Your Own Affiliate Program

By starting and promoting your own affiliate program, you can obtain a worldwide sales force for your own products and services. The beauty of this arrangement is that you only pay for performance. Your sales agents are only paid a commission when they make a sale of your products and services.

By applying these suggestions, you, too, can grow your business through affiliate marketing.

For more information about affiliate marketing, visit
http://www.yenommarketinginc.com/affiliate.html

Watch Out For Traffic Leaks

When promoting any affiliate program one thing that you, as an affiliate, has to watch out for is what is called traffic leaks. What is a traffic leak? A traffic leak is something on the merchants site that will cause the visitor, that you referred to their site, to get distracted and leave the merchant site, leaving you with no possibility of receiving any kind of commission.
Having traffic leaks does not mean the affiliate program is a scam or trying to cheat you. It is most likely that the merchant just doesn't realize what they are doing. If you are promoting an affiliate program that is not getting any sales for you, you may want to check for traffic leaks. If you find some then contact the merchant (in a professional manner) and ask if they would consider removing the traffic leaks from their site to increase conversion.
Here are a few examples of a traffic leak:
Advertisement Banners & Links
This is usually the most common traffic link. The merchant will put up a banner ad or two and some text links to "offset" their expenses. You do not want to promote an affiliate program that has this on their site. When you send a visitor to the site and they click the banner or text ad and go to the other site the merchant gets paid while you get zippo. Not to fair is it?
Order Phone Number
Another traffic leak is the toll free (or regular) phone number they put on their site to let customers call in their orders. But when customers do call in their orders you get stiffed on the commission. It is very easy to set up phone commission tracking. You should ask the merchant if they have any plans on setting up phone sale tracking. If they don't know how you can send them to me to show them how to do it.
Basically, you do not want anything on the merchants site that will drive your referred customer away to another site that you will not get a commission from.

Free traffic vs. Extra Revenue - Earning From PPC Search Engines

What are the Search Engines?
A Search Engine is special database-driven web site designed to index and categorize internet addresses. Search Engines focus to help people to find information stored on the Web.
There are four basic types of Search Engines: Crawler-based (automatic), Human-powered Directories, Meta and PPC (Pay-Per-Click).
Although most of the Search Engines that operates today shall be classified as Hybrid Search Engines because it has become extremely common for two or three types of gathering and ranking results to be utilized for presenting them on results pages to the end user.
How the PPC Search Engines work?
PPC Search Engines create listings and rate them based on a bid amount the web site owner (advertiser) is willing to pay for each click directed from that Search Engine. Advertisers bid against each other to receive higher ranking for a specific keyword or phrase. The highest bidder for a certain keyword or phrase will have their site ranked #1 in the Pay-Per-Click Search Engine results followed by the second and third highest bidder, up to hundreds or even thousands, for the same keyword or phrase. Due to bidding process required to get your site ranked, PPC Search Engines are also known as Pay-For-Placement Search Engines, as the ads will appear prominently on the results pages based on the dollar amount (bid) you will agree to pay for each click.
Affiliate Programs and PPC Search Engines:
Most affiliate programs only pay when a sale is made or a lead delivered after one of visitor's clicks through from your site. Depending on the program, your web site content and traffic target, earnings may be slightly different.
The reason why you should consider joining a PPC Search Engine affiliate program is that it is much easier to earn from PPC Search Engines than other affiliate programs. You will earn from your visitor's click-thru's to an advertisers site and not per sale or action.
Plus PPC Search Engine affiliate programs can very well collaborate with your existing web site's content or ventures.
Resourceful of your web site:
With PPC Search Engine affiliate program you will be able to profit from visitor's who are not interested in your product or service and more likely they would leave your site and never come back. Providing those with an opportunity to search the Web and find the service or product they are looking for will not only earn you commission but also will build your site's brand recognition as a valuable resource. The visitor who finds what he/she needs on your website will more likely come back and review your services more carefully, eventually will be back to search the web for other products.
Key benefits: extra money or "Free" targeted traffic:
As you should have noticed PPC Search Engine affiliate program is an easy way for you to generate additional revenue. When a visitor on your site does a search in the PPC Search Engine and clicks on the advertiser bided listing, the advertisers account will then get deducted for that click. Depending on the Search Engine, you will be compensated with from 30% up to 80% of the advertiser's bid amount.
PPC Search Engine affiliate program shall not be only considered as additional source of income, since it also can help you to promote your own site. Most programs allow you to spend your commission for advertising with them instantly with no minimum earning requirement. This is the most effective method to exchange your raw visitors for targeted surfers who will more likely purchase your product or service.
PPC Search Engine affiliate program integration:
PPC Search Engines usually have a ready-to-use suit of affiliate tools that you can easily integrate to your web site. The most common tools are search boxes, banners, text links and 404 error pages. Many Search Engines utilize custom solutions and provide with a white-label affiliate program, which enables you, with only few lines of code, to integrate remotely-hosted Co-branded Search Engine to your website.
Also referring your webmaster friends to the engine will grant you a lifetime commission for your 2nd tier earnings or deposits.
Krzysztof Wojtowicz is an owner and manager of LooKiez.com PPC Web Search Engine. http://www.lookiez.com main focus is delivering relevant results and helping webmasters to monetize their web site's traffic.
You can read about LooKiez Affiliate Program at: http://www.lookiez.com/affiliate.php

Adsense: How to Make Money With Ads by Google

The chances are that you've seen "Ads by Google" on a variety of websites and perhaps wondered what they were all about. The fact is that you can probably get "Ads by Google" on your own site and if you do, you can look forward to getting paid by Google.
The system is called Google AdSense and it does two things really neatly.
First of all it allows virtually any website owner to make some money without having to do too much - all you do is paste some code that Google gives you into your web pages. This code creates the ads that you see and when someone clicks on one of these ads they go to the advertiser's site. The advertiser is then charged for the click by Google and Google shares the money with you. You don't have to worry about billing a load of different companies or anything else: this is all done for you as part of the AdSense service.
That much is fairly straightforward and good news.
But the really clever thing about AdSense is that the ads you see on your site are relevant to your content - automatically. So if you have a web page about mobile phones you'll see ads about mobile phones on it. If you have a web page about holidays in Tasmania, you'll see ads for holidays in Tasmania on it. Google's technology scans your web page and decides what it is about and then searches its database of well over 175,000 advertisers to find the ads that are most suitable for your page.
By making the ads relevant to your site, Google does you two favors: the ads can enhance the overall experience a visitor to your site gets which means they are likely to return, and because the ads are relevant to your visitor, they are likely to get clicked on.
And when they get clicked on, you make money.
To make most money with Google AdSense you need to develop web pages that are about high value topics. In other words, build content on your site that is likely to attract ads that pay highly when clicked because not all ads are worth the same.
In fact some ads pay many dollars a click whereas others only pay a few cents.
The art of maximizing your AdSense income is to understand how to attract high paying ads onto your pages and then drive a lot of traffic to those pages. Once you've done that you can look forward to getting paid by Google on a regular basis which makes Google AdSense one of the most attractive affiliate programs on the internet today.

Internet Affiliate Marketing 101 - Its All About Relationships

So you've found the perfect affiliate program, you've signed up and they gave you a website....now what? Print out and distribute posters, business cards, and/or postcards;
4. Write articles and post free ads.
First of all, don't panic. You don't have to do ALL of these, just whatever you feel comfortable with. But I do heartily suggest that you push the envelope a little on your comfort level...
Email Friends and Family: If you're uncomfortable with contacting family members (they CAN be your sharpest critics) first scan the options, maybe one of the less obtrusive ones would work.
Be sure to write ONLY to friends. Anything else will be considered spam; any worthy company will drop you like a hot potato when they receive legitimate spam complaints.
Consider the friends and family you might write to and decide the best approach for each:
1. The Second Opinion Approach: save this for the hard nuts to crack, flatter them with "I've signed up for this opportunity and would really like to hear your opinion..."
2. The Beating Around the Bush Approach: "I'm making some extra money doing this biz, do you know anyone who might need a few extra dollars?"
3. The Direct Approach: for those close friends that you KNOW could use some financial miracles in their lives... you can lead with the business opportunity or with the products. I think it's Avon that has a nice promo these days, "products you can buy and sell". Simple and to the point...
4. The Chummy Letter Approach: just write a letter to a friend as you usually would and casually mention what you are doing, that it's on "wait and see", or already is making you a little money, or whatever.
5. The No-Mention Approach: just add a signature to all your emails that includes your website's URL and your email address, maybe the name of your company. Subtle, let's them explore if they want.
Getting to Know You...
How do you currently meet people on the internet? Game chat rooms, forums, opt-in email lists, Yahoo groups, messenger services...these are only a few ways to meet people. Many sites such as Yahoo, AOL, or ICQ let you create a profile including favorite websites, etc. While direct advertising is often frowned upon or prohibited, usually signatures at the bottom of posts is allowed. Many friendships formed in forums and chat rooms lead to email and website exchanges.
Stuffing Envelopes...
Printed fliers can be distributed everywhere you go, posted on your car...be creative. Include a business card or flier in every piece of mail you send including bills, on tables in restaurants, in phone booths, stick them in business books in the library. Make it fun! If you have mailing addresses rather than email addresses of anyone who might be interested, send them a flier or postcard.
Become a Famous Author
Anyone can write an article, everyone is good at something or has an experience that would help someone else out. Article writing helpsbuild trust and over time will brand your name and drive traffic to your website. And it's free. Submit your articles to individual webmasters and editors as well as article directories.
Banner Swapping and Text Linking
Some say that banners are not very effective in getting traffic to your website, but hey, it's free and it doesn't hurt to try. It's best to spend some time finding a high traffic site or two and not fill your site with banners. Text links are still your best bet.
There you have it, lots of good ideas for beginning promotion of your website.
I'll leave you with one more thought, something to come back to and mull over as time goes on...Spend some time on this one...
Find an online entrepreneur that you truly admire. There are lots out there, but there will be someone that really rings true for YOU. Maybe it's this person's style, or background, but something makes him or her stand out in your mind. Think of something that you can do FOR this person, and pursue that thought. Joint ventures...more on this later.
About the author: Glenn Beach is a poet, writer and home business entrepreneur in Nova Scotia, Canada. An average affiliate will expire 30 days after commencing ?30 days or less to see if the program is any good and then they move on to the next affiliate program of the month.
If the affiliate doesn't see a return on there investment in the first two weeks then they will not stay around.
DON'T BECOME A '30 DAY WONDER'.
It is time to make an informed decision (in choosing your affiliate program) and sticking with it. If you are one of those netpreneurs who changes affiliate programs often, and not making money from it, you now know why it isn't working.
So before you go any further, make an informed decision (research) on the program you want to promote.
Now back to those STRATEGIES - TWO STRATEGIES TO BE EXACT.
Strategy One
Very simple and straight forward, KNOW YOUR PRODUCT!
To know your product you need to USE IT, and know EVERYTHING there is to know about it. It's like going to watch a movie that you really, really enjoyed, you get this sense of excitement to share your great experience with others, well ? you need to get that same excitement about your product that only comes about by KNOWING YOUR PRODUCT.
Strategy Two
The Golden Question for all affiliates is 'How can I create an advantage for me?'
The Answer: Incentive Marketing
If you have never heard of Incentive Marketing, you are sure to have been a victim of it in your every day life.
Think about it? have you ever Up sized your meal at McDonald's, have you ever brought anything because of the Free Gift or Discount.
Incentive Marketing, Incentive Marketing, Incentive Marketing?
It doesn't matter that there are potentially thousands of other affiliates promoting the same program because from today onwards you are going to create an unfair advantage. Start thinking about what you could possibly use to create an unfair advantage and in PART TWO, I will give you the strategies you would need to become an SUPER INCENTIVE MARKETER.

Stop LOOSING a valuable marketing opportunity -- and stop it now!

Honestly, I'm not a big affiliate fan because in the past I haven't gotten 90% of the money promised either because they disappear before they pay out or they have so many exceptions -- paying out once a quarter, has to be over X dollars first, etc. Another negative side is that some of them think that 10% commission or some low amount is worth the 20 hours it takes for us to sell it. Usually the 10% equal $10 and $10 isn't worth my reputation even $1000 actually.
Today's article is not about the pros and cons of being an affiliate member. There are some good affiliate programs out there where you will get a check, their exceptions are small or nil, and the commission reasonable for the amount of time, risk, and reputation you place on the line for their product or program.
This article focuses on collecting their information before you give them the affiliate link so you can increase your mailing list numbers or residual income.
Almost all affiliate referrals are handled by providing someone with the affiliate link. The reader then goes from your place to their place. If this is what you have been doing, take the "L" (for loser) off your forehead, and read this to "get SMART quick."
Stop LOOSING a valuable marketing opportunity -- and stop it now!
Instead, set up a bridge page (also called a portal page or doorway page). Use the terms bridge and portal instead since the word doorway has a separate search engine meaning that can be confusing.
A bridge page works simply like this. You set up a bridge page on your web site. You send them to this page instead of to the affiliate site, collect their information, and THEN send them to the affiliate site.
The objective is to offer them something for fr*e*e that they must register for on that bridge page so you collect their information. In fact, you can offer several things.
You set up two pages actually. One that is the bridge page and the other a thank you page. After you collect their information THEN you send them to the thank you page. On the thank you page, you thank them for whatever it is they did and then give them an option to NOW access the affiliate site.
Here are a few ideas on items you can offer on the bridge page to collect their information:
* To subscribe to your ezine. If you have more than one, list these all. * To register for an ecourse. * To receive an ebook. * Offer your opinion or testimonials on using the affiliate's product/program.
Now, one of the main things most people do not think about is offering them something to purchase. And this is something affiliate offerers lookout for when you sign up to be an affiliate (at least the good ones do). They don't want their competition becoming an affiliate and then snatching the customer on the way to their site. I am chuckling on this one -- I think it is great actually. Most affiliates don't even know this is happening to them.
Here is a duzie of a hint that I've only seen one affiliate program do. This will give you a head start and it's kind of sneaky too.
You can offer something at a price on the bridge page that has to do with that topic (you have a focused buyer here). Example: The affiliate item is a software product. You can write an ebook on the same topic. Yes, will this piss off some affiliates. You bet, but guess what -- that's business. And also guess what -- it's going to take them a while to figure it out what you are doing too. They are so busy trying to obtain more affiliates they don't have the time to research each one.
Offering something for a price isn't as effective as something for fr*e*e. Then again, you have to decide what is your call to action for the bridge page. Is it to collect name and increase your mailing list or to make residual income. Don't get greedy and offer both. It will bite you in the "assets". Too many choices and it confuses the visitor and so they don't make any decision at all and leave without choosing anything -- no freebie, no affiliate link.
When you set up your doorway page, set up the metatags and searchable keywords that you wouldn't otherwise be able to place on your site. Make sure that these same words are in the content.
Catherine Franz, a Certified Professional Marketing & Writing Coach, specializes in product development, Internet writing and marketing, nonfiction, training. Whenever you think you are getting something for nothing, look again-someone, somewhere, somehow is paying for it. Behind every free lunch there is a hidden cost to be accounted for." Edwin G. Dolan

If you, or any of your business prospects, believe that time is money, then yes, the "There Ain't No Such Thing As A Free Lunch" principle DOES apply to your internet business. What you can't invest in money, you will have to invest in time. You will have to be able to put the axe to the grind for more hours per day or week, and you will have to wait for more weeks and months before your ship comes in. Those are the facts.

If you are able to think outside the box (and few internet entrepreneurs CAN'T!) then the principle can be stretched a little. Are you balking at spending a few pennies a day to boost your sales? Do some research comparing what your marketing program offers and what the same services cost on the open market. Compare what information your program offers and what you can learn elsewhere. For example:

* find some online business forums and search these topics: free advertising, phone follow-up techniques, sample follow-up letters, sample phone scripts.

* investigate your and other affiliate marketing programs for all the above plus services and tools such as: prospect notification, contact manager, online forum, billing and revenue collection, gateway website, company resource center, free sales and marketing tools, affiliate training courses, successful team support, commission or compensation schedule. In other words, look at EVERYTHING that the program will give you for free.

* research what you would have to pay for any or all of the above tools, hints, and services.

How does your affiliate program measure up? What do you get for free and therefore, what do you save? How much can you afford to invest based on these savings?

If you absolutely HAVE NO MONEY to invest, that's one thing. If you have a knee-jerk reaction to investing in something that "says it's free", think again. What other business in the WORLD besides one on the internet can you begin for NOTHING? How many pennies a day can you AFFORD to invest in your business, maybe not now but as soon as possible?

If you have nothing, you can start and run a business. You will have to pay for it, however, with time. Free ads need to be worked every day. Free ads drop out of sight as new ads follow. You need to study your product till you know it inside and out, so all prospective affiliates can be led, encouraged, taught how they too can succeed. Since the name of the game is visibility amongst the billions of offers on the internet, you can't afford to waste a single hard-won prospect.

Without any money to invest in advertising, this will be a long slow process. You will have to determine how YOU can best achieve sales and attract affiliates, because each person's skills, style and dislikes are different.

You need to be internet savvy because all the information you require to succeed is out there, you just have to know how to find it. Study, seek your own answers, and know where and how to ask questions. You will win the game with patience and persistence.

About the author:
Glenn Beach is a poet, writer and home business entrepreneur in Nova Scotia, Canada. Putting your affiliate link in yourResource Box is not going to work, for a number ofreasons:
- people can easily remove your affiliate ID
and just visit the main website of the affiliate
program (you get no commission)
- an affiliate link makes you look like just another
beginner, instead of an expert with something
unique to offer
So how do you use articles to promote affiliateproducts? Here are some strategies:
(1) Turn your website into a 'Marketing ResourcesDirectory'
On your website display book covers and provide briefreviews for a range of eBooks or software that dealwith web marketing.
You could divide your directory into categories: WebMarketing (general), Affiliate Programs, Search EnginePositioning, Email Marketing, Copywriting, EzinePublishing, etc.
In your Resource Box at the bottom of your article youcould say: John Doe shows webmasters how to succeed inonline business. Visit his collection of marketingresources at: http://www.yourdomain.com
(2) Write a Free Report
Write a free report on web marketing and turn it intoan exe format free eBook.
Your free report might have 5 or 6 chapters, eachchapter dealing with a different aspect of webmarketing (Affiliate Programs, Search EnginePositioning, Email Marketing, Copywriting, EzinePublishing etc).
In each chapter you would include recommendations (andyour affiliate link) for eBooks or software that dealwith that topic.
Your Resource Box could say: John Doe shows webmastershow to succeed in online business. Download his freereport, 'Web Marketing In 5 Easy Steps':http://www.yourdomain.com/free_report.html
(3) Customize the affiliate links in Free eBooks
Most web marketers produce free or trial versions oftheir eBooks, and in many cases the order links inthese free eBooks can be customized with youraffiliate link.
You could build a directory of these free eBooks, eachcustomized with your affiliate link.
The Resource Box at the bottom of your article mightread: John Doe shows webmasters how to succeed inonline business. Visit his collection of free eBookstoday: http://www.yourdomain.com
(4) Use your Resource Box to get new subscribers toyour Newsletter and then promote your affiliateprograms in your Newsletter.
This is the strategy most people use. But promotingyour affiliate links in a weekly Newsletter is asubtle art - the best way to learn is to join theNewsletters of marketers who specialize in this andstudy their techniques.

The Affiliate Game

Are you frustrated with your affiliate programs?

I used to be. Very frustrated! One day, in sheerdesperation, I wrote to one of my affiliateprograms and suggested that the market was nowsaturated with their product - it was no longerpossible to sell it.

The next day I received a very nice reply. "TheInternet is HUGE", they said. "We predict it willbe five years before the market is saturated withour product. And long before that, we will haveintroduced our next product." They were right, ofcourse. The problem was not with the market (theInternet is huge). Nor was the problem with theirproduct. The problem was in the way I waspresenting it.

Since then, my affiliate sales have soared. Why?Because I learnt a few secrets to winning theaffiliate game. Here they are:

1. Choose affiliate programs that relate veryclosely to the theme of your website. Let me giveyou an example. Of the three affiliate products Isell from my web site, the one that does best bya long way is an eBook that shows people how togenerate free Ezine advertising. Why does it doso well? Because my website is a directory ofezines and most of my visitors are alreadyinterested in Ezine Advertising before they evenarrive at my website - I don't have to persuadethem very much.

2. Buy the product yourself! Research acrossdozens of affiliate programs shows that at least70% of sales in any affiliate program are made bythe small percentage of affiliates who actuallybuy the product they're selling. It makes sensedoesn't it (how can you recommend somethingyou've never used)?

3. Banners - they don't work anymore, and someexperts believe banners will actually damage youraffiliate sales.

4. Personal recommendation. The human factor isvery important on the Internet - people want toknow that someone else has bought the product andthat it worked for them. But to write aconvincing personal recommendation, you'll haveto buy, read and use the product you're selling.

5. 'Over-selling' - this is the most commonmistake of affiliates. Keep in mind that all youneed to do to succeed with affiliate programs isto get your potential customer to click throughto the affiliate website in an 'open-to-buy'mindset. If the affiliate program is good, theaffiliate website will make the sale. So don'ttry to sell the product from your website - justaim to get a click on your affiliate link.

5. Standard Ads. When you join an affiliateprogram, you'll probably be given some standardads to use. Don't use them! Why? Because yourpotential customer has probably seen those exactsame ads on dozens of websites and in dozens ofEzines. And if that standard ad hasn't led themto buy the product so far, it probably won't now.Something new and original is required.

6. Back-end sales. Once you're succeeding in oneaffiliate program, join another program thatoffers a related product and use the techniquethat marketers call 'back-end' sales. It's a wellknown fact that people are much more likely tobuy from someone they have already bought from.So when someone makes a purchase from youraffiliate link, send them a nice follow-upletter. At the end of the letter, tell them aboutyour other affiliate product and how it can helpthem.

------------------------------------------------------------
Michael Southon has been writing for the Internet for over 3
years. A music CD tucked into the computer's drive drowns out all but the occasional giggles of that conversation. While her fingers fly over the keyboard, you risk a quick glance and count six open "chat" boxes. She's IMing (sending instant messages with) the friends she didn't get to talk to at school.

That's just how she communicates.

Once the "he said," "she looked" minutia of the all important social event (lunch hour) of the day have been dissected, the conversations begin to move outward. Movie trivia websites are visited en masse, and the merits of a certain pair of kahkis for sale on one site versus another found the day before cause more windows to be opened, as this virtual gaggle of girls move around the web together.

Sometimes, tasks are split. Three girls visit different movie theater sites where start times for this week's chosen film are carefully matrixed against which parent might be able to drive the group to which venue.

That's just how decisions are made.

Some people call her a tween. She's between 8 and 12 and attends middle school, Sunday school, and high school football games where she and her friends pay far less attention to each other's older brother on the team than their slightly older siblings. Usually that's all an anxious parent in this group is able to watch out for. They don't know the half of what she is capable of yet.

According to brand analyst and Clickz columnist, Martin Lindstrom, 22% of these tweens have already made an online purchase on their own. Lindstrom's study excerpt didn't discuss how they were able to pay for these purchases, but it's a good bet a majority of them were done using mom or dad's credit card. That's a pretty safe assumption when you consider that tweens determine what brand is purchased 60% of the time in a typical household.

60%!
Clothes, music, accessories, gifts, games and other entertainment used to be the exclusive province of the American teenager. The 13 and over crowd used to decide where those dollars were spent. But they're passing the baton to their younger brothers and sisters while they pursue their own, more diverse, interests, also online.

That's just where the teens and tweens are spending their time these days.

Tweens are even more intensely committed to the Internet than their older teenage siblings. Teens are spending in excess of 16.7 hours per week online according to a 2002 Yahoo study. That compares to 13.6 hours spent watching television, 12 hours spent listening to music and 7.7 hours talking on the phone.

Did you catch it?
Do you see what the real difference is between these two groups? And do you understand just how large, and just how evolutionary the impact of that difference will be on your business?

That's the piece of the puzzle that I think is being overlooked. It's been buried beneath an already staggering pile of statistics.

It's not about the numbers at all.

It's about the fact that tweens have already assimilated the Internet completely. It's about the fact that tweens have already begun to filter their media differently, and process that input differently. They don't surf websites anymore, clicking their mouse to zoom in to see the pocket detail on those jeans. They "experience" a site clicking their mouse to turn 3d model images wearing those jeans, or clicking hotspots in panoramic images designed to make them feel as if they are in a room at a store.

They don't spend 16.7 hours on the Internet, then 13.6 watching TV, then 12 hours listening to music, then 7.7 hours talking on the phone. They spend 16.7 and 13.6 and 12 and 7.7 simultaneously. They move from one media to another effortlessly, automatically typing coherent messages for up to five conversations at once, laughing at a girlfriend's joke on the phone, and tapping their foot to the relentless beat of the music. At - the - same - time.

"Tween" is not just a convenient demographic catch phrase for a bundle of statistics. It's also a very apt description of where this particular generation will fall on technology timeline. The web "experience" is likely to continue unfolding long after they have grown up and become everyone's prime demographic.

I have a tween in my house. And she really is somewhere between. Her reliance on a strong social network of girlfriends is as old as the hills. But her communication methods raise the bar on the definition of multitasking. Sometimes I watch her and wonder if we haven't finally broken through another old barrier. I wonder if she's tapping into, and effectively using, more than the 10% of our brains than science claims we use.

But probably not. It's still clear that not all of her senses have been enhanced.

She still can't seem to hear me when I ask if she has homework.

Tips For Affiliates

1. Create an infopacked mini site. Build your mini site for a specific niche audience and then choose affiliate programs specifically for that niche audience.
2. Test and track your ads and promotions for your affiliate programs.
Tracking and testing your ads will show you exactly which ads, promotions and affiliate programs pay off the most for you and are excellent choices for you to continue to promote.
3. Publish an ezine.
Your ezine will give you a powerful way to promote your affiliate programs to your subscribers.
Choose affiliate programs that relate to the content of your ezine and that make it worth your while to promote them.
4. Promote your affiliate programs by recommending their products.
You could recommend your affiliate programs to your ezine subscribers in your publisher's note or you could create a recommended resources section where you promote your affiliate programs in every issue.
You could also recommend your affiliate programs to your visitors by creating a recommended affiliate programs section where you list your favorite affiliate programs along with descriptions of their products or services.
In addition, you could create a best affiliate programs section that helps you build up your second tier by listing the affiliate programs that have paid off the most for you.
5. Write product reviews where you detail the benefits you like about your affiliate program's product.
Make your product reviews honest and hype f~ree and post them on your site along with your other articles.
6. Write your own ads for your affiliate program.
A good way to create your ads is to look at the ad copy on the site of the business you want to promote and also ads they provide for their affiliates to use, and use their unique selling proposition or USP to write your ads.
Their unique selling proposition is a unique benefit that they promote in their ad copy that their competitors don't stress or offer to their visitors.
It could be that their product saves lots of time, is easy to understand, that their product is a complete answer to a problem, or it could involve their price.
Some businesses develop more than one USP so you'll be able to choose the one that you think works best in getting more targeted visitors to their site.
7. Try out the support of the companies you want to promote by asking questions.
This will help you to find out how long it takes them to respond to emails (if they respond to emails) and how professional they are.
8. Create freebies that promote your affiliate programs.
You could offer your visitors a f~ree email course, an ebook filled with your tips or articles or an ebook that provides your visitors with places to promote their businesses.
When creating freebies for an affiliate program that is 2 tier, increase your profits by letting your affiliates in your second tier use your freebies as a promotional item.
9. Create a directory.
Your directory could be an article, ezine, ebook or affiliate program directory.
List your own resources within your directory to increase your commissions. For example, you could add your own affiliate programs to your affiliate programs directory or your ebooks to your ebook directory.
Add a what's new section to your directory to garner more repeat traffic from your visitors.
You could also provide a tutorial on the subject of your directory, or add things to your directory that your visitors can use on a regular basis to get more repeat traffic.
10. Run ezine ads for your affiliate programs.
You could purchase sponsor, feature, classified or solo ads for your affiliate program.
Choose ezines with subscribers targeted to be interested in the products of the business you want to promote.
Run your ads for multiple issues in a row when possible to maximize the profit you get from your ads.
You can also run f~ree ads in ezines as many ezines offer
f~ree advertising on a weekly, monthly or per issue basis to
get more new subscriptions.
Running f~ree ads can help you find out which ads work best,
and which ezines are most responsive before you purchase
ezine advertising.

How I Started My Own Work At Home

Have you always wanted to work at home? Have your own business? Didn't think it was possible? No more commuting in traffic (plus gasoline prices right now are ridiculous). No more "business attire" (work in your jammies) and no more Corporate America breathing down your neck. I didn't think it was possible. I had always been a pessimist. Didn't think I could do it. Didn't have the knowledge or skills required.
I had worked in the travel/customer service industry for 25 years. I was laid off over two years ago after 9/11. I submitted my resume to countless job postings with no response. Obviously after awhile I was feeling unwanted, useless, and depressed. No job prospects, no money, no direction. I not only needed an income, I needed a purpose, a reason to get up in the morning other than the cats and bird needed to be fed.
What was I going to do?
The light bulb finally came on in my head and I realized that I had some resources right at home. A computer and internet access. I normally surfed the net to shop (shopping mind you, couldn't afford to buy) and playing computer games to pass the time.
I happened upon an opportunity to take surveys online. Sounded easy enough and for a $35.00 investment to access a database of survey sites I could start making some money. I registered with every survey site listed in that database. A tedious task! In two months time a made $102.50 and a $10.00 gift card. I wasn't going to pay the bills with that kind of money. Back to the same dilemma!
What was I going to do?
I started searching the web for information about working from home. To my amazement there are countless opportunities. Now the question was not if I could have my own business but what kind of business did I want? I'm not a salesman! I didn't want to have to worry about inventory, packaging, shipping, merchant accounts, etc. I had very little money to invest, so my out-of-pocket expenses would have to be low, really low.
What was I going to do?
I found a website which offered me the chance to start my own business with incredibly little cost. The following is what was provided:
1. A domain name registered for $30.00.
2. Hosting of my website at a low monthly fee of $24.95.
3. My website was created free of charge which included a free auto responder.
4. I had to join five affiliate programs (signup was free) which their links would be placed on my website. These were some of the top affiliate programs (paying good commissions with multiple income streams). I found many favorable recommendations for them at several different websites.
5. They immediately got me started on how to build a mailing list fast and how to generate traffic to my website.
6. I was provided a home business tips newsletter that goes out to my email list on a daily basis. I don't have to do a thing, it's automatic.
7. Plus, I am provided with more tools, tips, ideas and marketing strategies (from well known "Internet Marketing Gurus") than I thought possible. All free of charge.
They've done the research and testing to know what works and what doesn't. Just have to follow their lead. These people give you step by step instructions. Go to any internet marketing website and see how much information is given freely. I think you will be as amazed as I was and still am.
Now don't get me wrong, there are some costs involved. But I'm talking a couple of hundred dollars not thousands! I have been overwhelmed with information, ideas, tools and resources!
No one is going to do it all for you. You will have to spend time learning and working to promote your business. Point is YOU too have the opportunity to become your own boss!
Take action now, don't wait, and grab a piece of the internet boom for yourself. As I said before I was always the pessimist, but now I see a half full cup instead of a half empty one.
Debra Hamer is the owner of the {http://profitfromhomebiz.com} website where you can find lots of tips, tools and resources for starting your own work at home business.
Visit her PlugInProfitSite at {http://www.pluginprofitsite.com/main-4256} to have your own website setup and ready to go within 24 hours, complete with everything you need to start making a profit.

What Is It Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate Marketing is having Affiliates do your Marketing for you. What I mean by Affiliate is someone who tells people about your product/service and you pay them for a desired response, such as a purchase.
Affiliate Marketing is one of the best ways to get the word out about your product/service.
The best way to pay Affiliates is pay per sale. This means that you only have to pay your Affiliates when they actually make a sale. This reduces your advertising costs dramatically. your Affiliates take on all the risks so you don't have to worry about wasting your money on advertising which may not produce any results.
Using Affiliate is a very cheap way to advertise, however it is very effective. The software required to start up your own Affiliate program can cost only about $50 per month.
Then after that just wait for people to start promoting your product/service for you.
Please remember that 5% of your Affiliates will do 95% of the selling. What I mean by this is that most of your Affiliates will just sit there and do nothing. This can be countered if you teach them what to do, exactly how to do it and providing everything for them so they have to do as little work as possible.
To find out about teaching your Affiliates please see the "How To Super Charge Your Affiliates" article
You don't have to use this form of advertising just to sell your product or service. You can also use it to grow your opt-in mailing list. This is discussed in another article.
How Much Should You Pay Your Affiliates
How much you pay your Affiliates really depends on how much your product/service costs, its profit margin, how much you're willing to give up and what action you want to take place.
Lets say that your product is priced at $100. Lets also assume that it cost you $10 to make it. This leaves you with $90 profit.
How much of this do you want to give away to the person that made this sale possible?
Personally, I believe that you should give a rather high percentage of the profits back to the affiliate (Depending on how many sales they regularly generate), because without them, you wouldn't have made that particular sale at all, so reward them for it.
A fairly decent reward is about 50% of the revenue generated. Your product is priced at $100 so a $50 commission is quite generous. It really depends on your other costs (such as a mortgage) you have, which would help decide on a fair commission to both you and the Affiliate.
Another factor which plays a part is how much additional advertising you do, such as pay per click. For example, if you rely solely on your Affiliates to Market for you, then you may want to reduce the commission you pay to them to help you survive. However, you may want to pay them more, to encourage them to send more sales you way. It really is a judgment call.
On the other hand, if you advertise in other ways effectively, then you can afford to pay higher commissions, because you're not putting all your eggs in one basket.
In the end it's all down to how greedy or generous you are. The best advice I can give you is to pay the affiliate what you think he/she deserves. Hopefully that way everyone is happy and earning their fair share.
That is the key to a successful affiliate program.
By Stephen Warren, the creator of http://www.marketershandbook.com, the completely FREE guide to marketing online, with useful articles and links.

Are you having trouble creating new product offerings from scratch?

Are you having trouble creating new product offerings from scratch? Maybe you're not a natural writer or you're unsure of a topic? Or maybe you'd just like a shortcut to some reliable revenue?
Not to worry, help is here.
And even if you're not stuck creating your own intellectual property, the concept of promoting other people's products and earning coaching income is an idea whose time is fast on its way.
Selling other people's products, and earning a percentage of the sales price for your efforts is what's referred to online as earning money as an 'affiliate.'
Within the next 12 months, the Internet is getting set to see a significant number of coaches begin to grow their one-on-one practices with the help of someone else's products.
In fact, it promises to be a big trend, and I hope you're one of the first.
There are two key things to know about selecting affiliate programs to support:
(1) Give more than a simple recommendation. Use this opportunity to write an article. create a 3-page website, compile a PDF report, or even tape a brief audio about why your audience should sit up and notice this product.
Speak from the heart about the difference it has made to you. Tell a story. Ask questions that engage the reader. All of these are techniques examplifying a coaching approach.
Then embed the links for your recommendations within the body of your article.
In this way, you add value, and you're much more likely to create a connection that leads to real impact, and a purchase that leads to earnings for you.
(2) Especially if you are having difficulty choosing a niche market for your own practice, hunting for worthwhile affiliate programs can be a great exercise.
Other people's work that deserves to reach more people can benefit from your energy and as you earn money through affiliate programs, you'll learn a great deal about what sparks your passion.
At the same time, by making a integrity-based recommendation, you strengthen your bond with your readers in a way that always results in more revenue in your other streams.
You know how when you buy something from a certain brand that you end up liking, you go back and buy more of that brand?
Same thing. As your audience comes to trust your recommendations, they're more and more likely to purchase other things from you.
Win, win, & win.
Andrea J. The user can click on it as often as they like. It won't work!

This could be costing you sales and applications.

** We tested it out!

We tested this on our Loans site www.polarloans.co.uk. We delivered 1,000 visits to the site where the application process was a javascript function. We had 1 application.

We then switched the apply buttons and links to a normal HREF link and sent another 1000 visits to it. We have a 10 fold increase in applications.

The only on-page changes were the Apply button links and we drove the visits via PPC spend.

** What can you do?

It maybe time you looked at the major links on your site to your product sale pages on affiliate links. If they are running as Javascript functions it may be wise to try switching them to normal HREF links and test the results.

You can always change them back if you need to but consider the potential revenue option.

It certainly has worked for us!

Jason Hulott is Director of J2 Squared, leading specialists in Internet Consultancy whose specific aim is to drive more revenue to websites. You take on the expenses of advertising, you are the one who usually misses out on subscribers if you haven't first made them your client before they buy the product/service you are promoting.

And all this for what??? Maybe $20 per sale if you are really, really lucky.

You also need to remember that when you are an affiliate, YOU are not the only person promoting that very same product/service.

So what will make your offer any different to someone else who is promoting the exact same product, usually using the same sales technique, offering it at the same price.

To be in the top 5%, which is the amount of affiliates who make more than $100.00 per month, you need to first have a really good, clean, targeted subscribers list of more than 50,000 subscribers, know exactly how to gain targeted traffic, and have a huge advertising budget.

For the other 95%, the only way you are going to make alot of money from and affiliate program is to OWN YOUR OWN.

It really isn't as hard as you might think to set up.

So in conclusion, the best AFFILIATE PROGRAM, obviously is the one you OWN.

About the Author:

Gillian Tarawhiti, is Founder and CEO of Community Training Centre, an Internet Marketing firm providing Online Training and Support to the new and not so new netpreneurs. Some have fully automated systems that sell high volumes of hard products all over the world. In case you don't know, "hard" products are those that you can touch...unlike an ebook or downloadable web template. Many affiliate programs have several thousand affiliates and one or two of the bigger companies have over one million affiliates.
What are the advantages of joining an affiliate program?
They provide a ready-made business. This is a very big plus for those people who want to earn some kind of living off the Internet but lack the knowledge or inclination to set up a business by themselves.
Commissions and rewards are generally good, and the more established programs offer a real chance of advancement to higher and better-paid levels.
Other affiliates are usually on hand to offer practical support.
What are the limitations?
You are restricted in your promotional activities due to the fact that you do not actually own the affiliate site they give you. You won't be able to put such things as banners, images, links, meta tags, etc. onto your page. The URL of your affiliate page is often either too long or contains such awkward things as question marks, which many Search Engines will not index.
Any promotional ads or articles have probably already been used by thousands of other people and consequently may have lost its impact, making it more difficult to achieve sales or referrals.
If the program you have joined has not yet established itself (or in some cases even if it has), then you may encounter problems with payments owed to you not being honored. You also run the risk of low quality products or sub-standard statistics that do not accurately record how many referrals or sales you have made.
You may be required to purchase a minimum quantity of the product on a regular basis before you start to qualify for commissions or even before you can become an affiliate. You may not get the technical or affiliate support you might expect from the company. This may be due to inadequate staffing, or the company's negligence.
Other people in your downline do nothing to promote the program.
At least four of the above limitations can be overcome with a little time and effort. You could, for example, come up with fresher ads to promote the program (provided this is allowed).
If the company supplies the email addresses of people in your downline, then you could offer to help the less active members. Very often these people are passive not because they are lazy or apathetic but merely because they don't know HOW to promote effectively! your guidance could mean the difference between no sales or referrals and healthy downlines and residual incomes.
As regards promoting your actual page, here are a couple of little tricks that should overcome a number of restrictions:
Cloak your Affiliate URL to stop hijackers Affiliate Masker While this will not help you to get listed on the major Search Engines, it will make your web page easier for prospects to remember and type into their browser's address bar.
Go to your affiliate page. Place your mouse pointer anywhere on the page and right click once. In the drop-down box choose "View Source". This will display the HTML for the page. Save this to your hard drive as a HTML document using the "Save As" function. Upload the page to your web site. If you don't have a web site then get some free web space from one of these:

http://www.tripod.com/

http://www.fortunecity.com/

http://www.hypermart.net/index.gsp

http://www.coolchat.com/

http://www.crosswinds.net/

http://www.htmlpublishing.com/

http://www.freehomepages.com/

http://www.pageproducer.com/

Submit your 'new' page to the Search Engines. You are also now able to place banner codes, links, images, testimonials, in fact anything you want onto these pages, because you are in control of the HTML. A word of caution, though. Don't change the actual HTML of your original affiliate page. Just put the other stuff, like banners etc, around it.
Making this "mirror page" of your affiliate page will dramatically improve your advertising options.
You have permission to publish this article in your ezine or on your web site, free of charge, as long as the byline is included and the article is included in it's entirety. I also ask that you activate any html links found in the article and in the byline.
You may not use this article in any publication that is not-optin (spam). A courtesy copy of the publication or link to the website you use my article on would be appreciated.

Earn Money?

It surprises me that many people fail to grasp this concept as they first set out to start their own businesses. Thanks to the power of the Internet, anyone who has a computer and an Internet connection can now START their own online businesses with little investment. However, generally speaking, it is a given that you have to invest money into your business to if you seriously want it to grow.
Affiliate marketing is a great way for ordinary people to start making money on the Internet. After finding an affiliate program that offers products you are interested in promoting, you can start an online business with just a website. So your total investment up to this point may simply be registering for a domain name and paying for a web hosting account.
But then what? You have to start marketing the products and getting people to your website! A lot of people are turned off when they discover that this is a demanding process that requires a substantial amount of hard work, time, AND money!
Let me give you a specific example. As all experienced Internet marketers know, "the money is in the list." Simply put, you want to build a mailing list of people who may be interested in what you have to offer.
One of the most effective ways to grow your mailing list is to use a pay-per-lead service where you PAY a company to bring targeted subscribers to you. The company will run an advertising campaign for you and deliver motivated, opt-in subscribers to your list. The cost can vary greatly depending on the information you require. The e-mail lead packages I have been using recently range from $.10 to $.35 per lead.
Other areas where you MAY want to invest money in include: logo design, web design, web promotion, and useful tools such as a graphics editor and a powerful autoresponder. However, there are plenty of free resources on the Internet and I encourage you to seek them out.
The saying, "You have to spend money to earn money," generally holds true for ANY business! An Internet-based business is no exception, whether your are promoting your own products or someone else's.
It is also important that you re-invest a portion of your profits into your business! That way, not only will your business continue to grow, but its GROWTH RATE will also increase! This in turn brings in MORE profits, which allows you to invest MORE into your business... People love quizzes and they take ones that are printed in magazines all of the time. It's reasonable to assume that if these same people knew about the existance of an online quiz that they would beat a path to your home page.

Another great feature of offering an online quiz is that you can change the subject regularly. In fact, you could offer a subscription where members sign up to be notified whenever a new online quiz gets posted.

An online quiz can also be used as a sales tool. One of the best ways of accomplishing this is to link your quiz questions to affiliate sites where you earn money when people make purchases. Then you can have a "scavenger hunt" online quiz where people have to visit those sites to find the quiz answers.

People also like to take an online quiz because they can get instant scoring without having to turn the page upside down, or flip to the end of the magazine, to find out how they did. You can even design your online quiz so that it gives instant feedback after every answer is entered.

One last thing to consider is that you can create keyword-rich versions of your online quiz and then post the URLs to search engines. That way you will not only get search traffic from people who like quizzes, but you'll get traffic from people who are searching on the terms that you include in your online quiz!

So, while it's not likely that a printed quiz is going to become obsolete any time soon. The Internet has once again forever impacted the way that we communicate. Today's latest example? The online quiz.
